Tourism campaign unveiled
Bermuda Tourism finally has a voice. In fact, Tourism Minister Ewart Brown announced yesterday, it has two.
Lawyer and cricket commentator (St. Clair) Sean Tucker and counsellor and actress U. Denniqua F. Burrows were named as the new Voices of Bermuda at a Tourism media luncheon at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess yesterday.
The pair, chosen from more than 100 local candidates, will do the voice-overs for a series of Department of Tourism projects, including the new Bermuda Tourism campaign launching over the next few weeks.
The earliest parts of the campaign were launched yesterday morning, advertising agency Arnold Worldwide group account director Michael Zuna said at the luncheon ? including a new 30-second television ad featuring Ms Burrows? voice and hailing Bermuda as ?putting distance? from the United States.
The ad, aired at the luncheon, featured a frustrated office worker in New York practising putting inside his office. One extra-large putt sent the ball flying over the sea to Bermuda, landing the golfer a hole-in-one.
