serious head injuries yesterday after he lost control of his cycle and collided with a wall near St. Paul's Church in Paget.

The 23-year-old officer was riding east on Middle Road around 2 p.m. when the mishap occurred at the bend of the road. He was placed in the hospital's intensive care unit.

Police are appealing for witnesses to this accident to come forward. Anyone who may have seen the accident is asked to call Acting Inspector Charlie Dorrington at 295-0011.

A car and a truck collided yesterday on the same corner around 12.30 p.m. No one was injured.

STOLEN BIKE FOUND CRM Stolen bike found Police this week pulled a stolen Suzuki motorcycle from the Great Sound. The vehicle was found just off Fort Scaur in 10 feet of water.

It had been reported stolen from City Hall parking lot on December 15.

Investigations are continuing.

SEXUAL ASSAULT CRM Sexual assault Police are investigating a sexual assault complaint involving a 33-year-old Smith's Parish woman. The woman reported that she was assaulted in her home by a male acquaintance on New Year's Eve.

Due to emotional stress, the victim said she was unable to report the incident earlier. The matter was reported to Police on Wednesday and inquiries are continuing.
