Woman dragged behind bike
Friday evening.
And nobody came to her aid when the bag's strap snapped and she was left screaming for help in the road.
The 39-year-old -- who later required medical treatment -- was walking along Shelton Road in Pembroke at about 5.30 p.m. when a man on a motorcycle drove up behind her and grabbed her handbag.
The woman held onto her bag and was dragged along the road until the bag's strap eventually snapped and the offender made his escape. Despite the woman's screams for help, nobody in the area came to her assistance.
The woman sustained abrasions to her arms, legs and stomach which she was treated for at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
CARRIAGE PASSENGERS INJURED AC Carriage passengers injured A Friday evening horse and carriage ride turned into a nightmare for two women when the horses bolted while the driver's back was turned.
The two women, aged 76 and 52, were injured in the mishap at the Southampton Princess Hotel and had to be treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
At around 10.20 p.m. the women were sitting in the carriage at the hotel's main entrance waiting for the driver who had briefly left them.
A loud motorcycle apparently came up behind them and scared the horses who panicked and bolted, running into a trash can and eventually coming to a stop some 50 yards away.
