Footy Force finish season in style
Under-14 Youth Futsal League champions Footy Force ended the season with a bang at Dellwood Middle School at the weekend.Force thumped Bermuda Brazilian Football School (BBFS) Yellow 7-2 in their opening match to set the tone for the rest of the day.Force led 2-1 at the break before opening the floodgates in the second half to put the match beyond their rival’s reach.Jason Symonds (Force) and Dnye-Jha Sharieff-Hayward (BBFS) were chosen a men of the match.Force were pushed harder in their remaining match with North Village before ultimately prevailing 11-8 in a high scoring affair.The thrilling encounter saw both teams swap blows with Force taking a 6-3 lead into the dressing room at the half.Both teams hit the target five times after the break to keep fans on the edge of their seat before the final whistle blew with Force maintaining their three-goal cushion.Jasen Symonds (Force) and Darin Woolridge (NVCC) were chosen as men of the match.As well as capturing the Under-14 league title, Force’s Under-12 and Under-16 teams were also crowned league champs in their respective divisions.ABC Valencia captured the Under-10 division.Season MVP honours went to Devonshire Cougars’ Ande Simons (Under-10), BBFS’s Dnye-Jha Sharieff -Hayward (Under-12), Village’s Jazario Brimmer (Under-14) and Dandy Town’s Jahtino Martin (Under-16).
