standings as a result of an off-the-water development.

Victory skipper Alan Powell, whose boat was involved in a collision with Challenger during Sunday's RHADC Cup race, has forfeited his second-place finish, meaning the other boats below her move up a spot in final results. It also means that a protest on Sunday by Challenger skipper Paula Lewin was not necessary.

Victory , which won the first race of the day, is officially classified has having retired and gets zero points, dropping them below Elizabeth in the standings.

Challenger , meanwhile, moves up to second and trails second-place Port Royal by nine points heading into the August 24 races in St. George's Harbour.

Bermuda sailors were successful again on Tuesday in the second day of the CORK Optimist Championships in Kingston, Ontario, with 14-year-olds A.J. Crane and Alexander Kirkland first and sixth overall.

Crane leads the standings after four races with 18.75 points from a first, fifth, fourth and ninth. Florida's Katherine Whitman is second on 28 points and Scott Donaldson of Vancouver third on 29.75 points. Kirkland is sixth with 40.75 points.

Winds were again light and shifty, starting at eight to 10 knots for the first two races, but dying in the third which caused the committee to call off the day's final race.

Donaldson won the first race despite a bad start while Crane was fourth and Kirkland 34th. However, Kirkland placed first in the next race to stay in the hunt.

"I'm really happy,'' Crane said of her performance which is "totally unexpected.'' Last year Crane was 30th at CORK and thought she'd be in the top 15. She's coming off a second-place finish at the Ontario provincial championships at Nepean.
