Miss Thang appeals for help for kids
Radio DJ Miss Thang is appealing for help to give eight needy children a happy Christmas.
Listeners of the Hott 107.5 presenter's show have identified youngsters who need help and Miss Thang — aka Kristy Burgess — is asking for donations of gift certificates, toys, clothing, food vouchers or something new or used for them.
She said: "As you know, Christmas is right around the corner and there will be a lot of families and children without this year, due to finances and our brooding recession.
"So I have decided again this year to help Santa. I believe we can all make a difference as long as we stick together, no matter what."
Miss Thang is asking for these items especially: clothing (zero-three and three-six months), towels and washcloths for a five-week-old girl; clothing (three-six months) and diapers size three for a four-month-old girl; clothing (six-nine months), diapers and formula for a six-month-old girl; clothing (18-24 months) for a one-year-old girl; clothing (aged eight) and size two shoes for an eight-year-boy; clothing (aged ten-12) and size five shoes for an eight-year-old girl; and clothing (age 11) and size 3 ½ shoes for twin nine-year-old boys.
Donations should be dropped off at Hott in the BIU building on Union Street, Hamilton.
