A Southampton man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a woman and threatening to kill her and her children.
Maxwell Smith, 41, was not required to enter a plea in Magistrates’ Court this morning as the charges are indictable.
Prosecutor Carrington Mahoney told the court Mr Smith allegedly attacked a woman on November 23 and told her: “I’m going to kill you. I’m going to kill you and your children.”
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released Mr Smith on $5,000 bail with the condition he report to the Hamilton Police Station every day between 8am and 8pm.
