A man accused of chopping his former friend in the back of the neck was found not guilty by the unanimous verdicts of a jury.Gregory Tucker — nicknamed “Marka T” — was alleged to have attacked Kevin DeRosa, nicknamed ‘Snot’, after falling out over a woman.According to prosecutors, he chopped him in the head and the back of the neck with a machete around 8pm on March 3, in Elliott Street, Pembroke.Mr Tucker denied causing grievous bodily harm with intent to do so and having a machete in a public place.His defence case, presented by lawyer Marc Daniels, was that he was attacked by Mr DeRosa and acted in self defence.Mr Tucker was cleared by the unanimous verdict of a jury this afternoon.
