will be appearing in Supreme Court to answer the charge.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with sexual assault and the alternative charge of touching the vagina of a young person by a person in a position of authority.

Acting Senior Magistrate Edward King did not require the man to answer to the charge -- which is an indictable offence -- and instead sent the case to the Supreme Court.

The man was bailed for $2,500 with two like sureties.

Outerbridge car assault to Supreme Court A driver who used his car as a battering ram during an argument over $10 will be sentenced in Supreme Court tomorrow.

Anthony Outerbridge, 36, put 49-year-old Conrad Rogers in hospital for three months after driving into him on March 28.

Mr. Rogers, who was also in intensive care for two weeks, suffered severe head and facial injuries, a fractured skull and a brain contusion.

Outerbridge, who pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm, drove into his victim after giving him a lift home from the Southampton Rangers club.

His hearing was told he offered Rogers a lift to Middle Road in Southampton for $10 -- but Rogers claimed he was out of cash when the pair arrived.

Crown Counsel Sandra Bacchus said: "There was a verbal argument and as the complainant was walking towards Middle Road, Mr. Outerbridge accelerated his car at the complainant, struck him on the legs and the complainant hit the ground.

"The defendant stopped his car, looked at the complainant who was lying on the road and bleeding, manoeuvred his car around him and then drove off.'' Outerbridge, of Riviera Crescent, Southampton, was represented in court by Marc Telemaque. He was remanded on bail.
