Man charged in Southampton mystery case

Mr. Rogers, 48, of Mount Hill Mews, Pembroke was found unconscious on Middle Road near the Waterlot Inn in Southampton around 10.45 p.m. on March 28.

He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he remained unconscious and in critical condition for several days. He is now in stable condition on a general ward.

Yesterday, Anthony Winslow Outerbridge, 37, of Riviera Road, was not required to enter a plea to the indictable offences of unlawfully causing grievous bodily harm to Mr. Rogers and causing actual bodily harm, to Rogers, by reckless driving. He was further charged with having charge of a car, causing bodily harm to Mr. Rogers by reckless driving.

Outerbridge was bailed for $1,000 and ordered to return to court on June 17.
