Memorial Hospital with a broken jaw and the other in Magistrates' Court.

Ralph Russell, of Union Street, Pembroke, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to causing grievous bodily harm to Darren Richardson on March 17.

Prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said Russell arrived at his home on March 16 to find Mr. Richardson asleep.

Russell's wife told him that she had invited the man over to keep her and their daughter company.

Sgt. Taylor said Russell returned home the next day and once again found Mr.

Richardson asleep.

The two men argued and a fight erupted. During the fight Russell struck Mr.

Richardson with a metal pipe.

Sgt. Taylor said Russell went straight to Police and turned himself in, fearing that he might have killed Mr. Richardson who is still in the hospital.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis ordered a social inquiry report and adjourned until April 21. He released Russell on $500 bail.
