effort for its conservation, education and research programmes next week.

Conservation Cents, which is being sponsored by Capital G, will involve a mini-Bathysphere that visitors to the facility in Flatts Village can throw their spare change into.

The Bermuda Zoological Society and Friends of the Bermuda Aquarium will then direct the funds to the different projects.

The programme will be unveiled at a reception on October 5 at 5.30 p.m.

BAMZ research associate Dr. Jamie Bacon will offer a slide presentation at 6.15 p.m. on the Bermuda Amphibian Research Project which she leads.

Her study is the first Bermuda Biodiversity project to benefit from Conservation Cents.

She is observing Bermuda toad populations to learn why they may be declining and showing deformities as what affects toads may affect humans.
