solve one of the Island's natural mysteries.
Dr. Donald Linzey of Wytheville Community College, Virginia, is trying to establish if a rare species of tree frog has become extinct.
And he is calling on the public to contact him with any pictures of tree frogs that they might have taken recently.
Dr. Linzey, who arrives in Bermuda on Saturday, said: "There are two different kinds of tree frog and we haven't seen one of them for three and a half years.
"The last photograph we have of one was taken back in 1994.'' Anyone who may be able to help Dr. Linzey can contact him or Dr. Wolfgang Sterrer at the Bermuda Aquarium on 293-2727.
