A man accused of murder has been charged with obstructing a Police officer and of resisting arrest at an earlier date.

Roger Lightbourne, 40, of St. David's, is currently in custody facing a charge of murder for the death of Maxwell (Buckshot) Brangman on September 21. Yesterday he appeared at Magistrates' Court accused of a further three offences, alleged to have taken place on July 22 in Warwick parish.

Lightbourne pleaded guilty to willfully obstructing PC Mullan whilst in the execution of his duty. He denies resisting PC Mullan and of violently resisting PC Darrell on his arrest.

Lightbourne, who was remanded in custody, kept his sunglasses on throughout the court hearing. He is due to next appear at Plea Court on Tuesday.

Mr. Brangman's body was found inside a small concrete hut by the Black Horse Tavern at Burcher's Point, St. David's, on September 21. A teenager has also been charged with Mr. Brangman's murder and that of his friend, Frederick (Freddie) Gilbert, who was found floating in Great Bay on September 22. Darronte Lavar Dill of Pembroke turned 18 years-old on September 24, three days after the alleged double murder.
