Collie Buddz and Troy Anthony will be among the act entertaining the crowds for the New Year's Eve celebrations in Hamilton.

With the move from St. George's, organisers say they want to make sure the event will be a night to remember with an all Bermudian line-up and many family activities.

Danilee Trott, events organiser for the Corporation of Hamilton, said: "We just wanted to tell you how pleased the Corporation is to sponsor New Year's Eve in the city. It's the first time."

The Corporation has teamed up with 441 Productions' Andrew Holmes and Star Time Entertainment's Eugene Dean.

Mr Holmes said: "We wanted to make sure that it was all local entertainment."

And Mr. Dean added: "We have worked really hard to make sure that the entertainment reflects the Island. We will be opening the night with a movie, Home Alone. We have salsa, African dancing, Troika performing, Twanee Butterfield, Kenjalee Taylor.

"We have Secret Po Po, Home Grown and the headliners are Troy Anthony and Collie Buddz. We're expecting a great show. We're expecting for families to come out. It should be a lot of fun for people to enjoy."

Mr. Dean said there will be a large food court and many more things for families to enjoy.

In addition to all the entertainment, AJ the Gombey mascot will also be in attendance representing unity and peace.

Troika founder Nashanti Bailey said the group will be performing snippets of what they have performed in the past under the theme 'Violence in Bermuda."

The event is free and there will be free parking at Bulls Head Car Park.
