According to its unaudited financial statements, Bermuda Container Line Ltd. showed net earnings of $3,505,182 for the nine months ending September 30, 2002, a 3.04 percent decline compared to the same period in 2001.

Meanwhile, the company's directors have declared two dividends.

The first was a special year-end dividend of 50 cents per share, for the year ending December 31, 2002. The second was a regular quarterly dividend for the first quarter of 2003 at 11 cents per share, a 10 percent increase over the quarterly dividend rate paid last year.

Both dividends are payable on February 19 to shareholders of record as of February 11, 2003.
