Playing his part: Justin Donawa played the entirety of the match as Soluihull Moors claimed a thumping 4-0 victory over Altrincham in the Vanarama National League

Justin Donawa played the entirety of the match as Solihull Moors bounced back to winning ways in emphatic style in a thumping 4-0 victory over Altrincham in the Vanarama National League yesterday.

Having suffered a second-straight league defeat, in a 2-1 loss away at Wrexham on Saturday, Solihull responded superbly back at their Damson Park ground, stretching their unbeaten home run to six matches.

Jordan Thompson was in the right place to poke home from a corner and fire the hosts into the lead seven minutes before half-time, before Shaun Densmore headed into his own net to double Solihull's lead in the 56th minute.

Kyle Hudlin added a third nine minutes later, racing through before slotting the ball past goalkeeper Matthew Gould, with on-loan Aston Villa forward Cameron Archer wrapping up proceedings a minute from time.

The result leaves Solihull in fourteenth place on 48 points, adrift of the play-off places but comfortably clear of the relegation zone ahead of a trip to struggling King’s Lynn Town on Saturday.

Meanwhile Donawa’s international team-mate Jonte Smith was not part of the Woking squad who slipped to a 3-1 defeat away to play-off chasing Dagenham & Redbridge.

The hosts eased to a fifth-straight success courtesy of a double from Paul McCallum scoring twice and further strike from Angelo Balanta after Sam Ashford had halved the deficit for the visitors.

The seventh successive league defeat result leaves Woking hovering nervously above the relegation zone in 20th place, just three points clear of King’s Lynn Town ahead of another daunting fixture at home against play-off chasing Chesterfield on Saturday.
