Have you seen missing dog?
A Sandys woman is calling for help finding her lost Yorkshire terrier, which she believes may have already been picked up.
Jennifer Harvey said that yesterday her grandchildren were walking the dog named Cash in the Black Bay area at around noon when they let it off its leash and it ran away. At around the same time, she said she was driving home for a break and noticed a woman carrying a Yorkie, but didn’t think much of it.
It was only when her grandchildren told her the dog was missing that she began to panic.
“I ran down to the beach and talked to a woman, asking her if she had seen a small dog,” Ms Harvey said. “She said yes, but it had been picked up by a woman with two young children, who then drove off in a white Peugeot.
“Since then I have been on the talk radio, I have called all the vets, the SPCA and the dog warden, but I’ve heard nothing back. I’m worried because he only eats one kind of food. Anything else makes him sick.”
She said Cash is brown, grey and black and was not wearing a collar when he was lost. He is described as well groomed, although Ms Harvey said the hair on his ears and tail were long. She urged anyone who may know where Cash is to contact her at 336-3509 or 703-3214.
