“Bermudian resilience” is the theme of Heritage Month as the island’s culture and heritage is scheduled to get a virtual showcase for the second year in a row.

The traditional May Bermuda Day Parade will not go ahead as usual because of pandemic restrictions – but a show will be held at the National Stadium in Devonshire on May 28 featuring dance and costume.

A virtual Bermuda Cultural Stakeholder Conference, which opened to the public for registration this week, will launch a national cultural heritage policy for Bermuda.

A Mini-Float Challenge, in collaboration with Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation, will ask the public to build the traditional floats at home with prizes for the top entries.

Outdoor concerts on the steps of City Hall will continue with Creatives Live! performances on the steps of Hamilton City Hall and a Zoom webinar on the creation of banana dolls with Ronnie Chameau was also scheduled.
