Woman charged with assault on another female
A woman has been charged with breaking into another woman's home armed with a metal pole and assaulting her over a matter of the heart.
Khaliah Nisbett, 32, is alleged to have burgled Jennifer Duggan's residence in South Shore Road, Warwick, on April 23 while armed with a 2.5 ft long reinforcement bar.
She's said to have assaulted Ms Duggan, 30, causing actual bodily harm, and damaged a glass table and bookshelves at the property. Nesbitt, of Bob's Valley Road, Sandys, was not required to enter a plea as the matter must be dealt with by the Supreme Court.
Prosecutor Cindy Clarke did not give information about the nature of the case during Nisbett's brief appearance at Magistrates' Court. However, when Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner inquired: "This is something to do with the heart?" Ms Clarke replied: "Yes, allegedly."
Mr. Warner bailed Nisbett for $5,000 with one surety, and told her to come back to court for an administrative hearing on May 26. Meanwhile, he ordered her not to contact Ms Duggan.
