Owner fined after his dogs attack terrier

Crown counsel Ms Nita Grewal said the terrier's owner put her dog outside at 5 p.m. on November 4 and a few minutes later heard the dog screaming.

She ran outside and saw two German shepherds attacking the terrier.

Crown counsel Ms Nita Grewal said the dog suffered abdominal wounds and could not be saved.

McMartin told Police the dogs must have escaped the invisible fencing separating the houses.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis told McMartin to "make sure you keep those dogs secured''.

Mr. Francis also ordered him to pay a $300 fine and $112.55 in compensation to the owner of the terrier.
