Corporation councillor and defeated St. George's North Independent candidate Kenneth Bascome and his wife Rochelle have operated the concession since 1980.

But the Corporation changed the terms of the lease from one year to three years to give the concession operator incentive to make improvements and recoup his or her investment.

The concession operator is chosen by the Corporation's property committee.

The Corporation will be considering all of the proposals next week.
