Crowd gathers as Police arrest man
Sunday after Police tried to arrest a man on suspicion of drink driving.
A motorcyclist was spotted riding along the road with a bottle of beer in his hand.
But when a Policewoman tried to arrest the man he became violent. In the ensuing struggle a large crowd gathered, some of whom tried to stop the arrest being made.
Eventually more officers arrived at the scene and the crowd was dispersed.

Five vehicles parked outside the Mid Atlantic Boat Club on North Shore Road had their tyres slashed. The victims had been attending a function at the club and, when they left for the evening, found that the vandals had struck.
Police claim that the attack could be related to another incident at the club earlier that evening.

The man heard the sliding doors of his Littleholme Lane apartment being opened, the curtains move and then a pair of gloved hands appear through the doorway. He shouted at the intruder who fled.
The prowler was wearing black gloves, a black mask and a black jacket.

Officers on Middle Road in Warwick arrested the occupants of two vehicles on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug.
It emerged a warrant had already been issued for the arrest for one of the occupants.
Two men have been released on Police bail.

The intruders broke in after smashing a glass window before searching the property at 5.45 a.m. Some clothing was also stolen.

Officers said the Police bike was damaged after being left overnight in a car park on Union Street on Monday.
The ignition system and front panel were damaged -- and a black Police rainsuit was swiped from the compartment box.
The thieves also made off with blue waterproof trousers, a puncture repair kit and the Police vehicle log book.
