Abandoned hulks cleared from sea
Updated: May 12, 2021 09:07 AM
A flotilla of abandoned boats was yesterday removed from the water.
The Ministry of Transport said the vessels posed a marine obstruction risk and a danger to navigation and the environment.
The seven boats were lifted out of Coot Pond, St George’s.
The boats were all fibreglass-hulled and were between 13 and 25 feet long.
No one came forward to claim ownership despite an earlier appeal.
