Insurance-linked securities provider Horseshoe Group was recognised as the 2013 ‘Market Facilitator of the Year’ by Trading Risk magazine. It is the second time the company has received the honour.Horseshoe Group is an independent insurance manager dedicated to the reinsurance and ILS market.A press release from the Horseshoe Group announcing the award stated: “The Market Facilitator of the Year Award acknowledges excellence and achievement in the insurance-linked capital markets sector and is given to the company that has done the most to further the development of the Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) market.”They offer management, transforming and advisory services to insurers and reinsurers, reinsurance transformers, catastrophe bonds, sidecars, dedicated reinsurance funds, hedge funds and private equity firms, Lloyd’s affiliates and investment banks.Their press release quotes Andre Peres, CEO and founder of the Horseshoe Group, who stated: “Receiving this award is a great honour, especially considering the calibre of the other finalists in this category.
