Kyme goes down fighting
Squash Championships on Monday in New Jersey, but not without a tremendous fight against a strong Lee Jemmett of England.
Kyme, although playing virtually error-free squash, had no answer to his opponent. There was nothing he threw at Jemmett that he couldn't reach and in the end it was the Englishman who ran out a comfortable 9-1, 9-1, 9-3 winner.
Sam Stevens looked to be in with a chance of winning his plate match when he took the first game from Otto Esau Kwach 9-4. But the Kenyan hung in and eventually wore down an exhausted Stevens, taking the next three games 9-5, 9-1, 9-6.
James Stout was to play Mohammed Gulum of Kuwait yesterday while Michael Stout, the fourth Bermudian competing in the tournament, was due to take on Brazilian Rogerio Silvestre in plate action.
Kyme meets the USA's number one player, Eric Pearson, in the classic plate and Stevens will play in the consolation plate.
