Celtic against AC Milan will be a cracker!

I would love to be Parkhead in Glasgow, Scotland on Tuesday when AC Milan come to town for their Champions League first-leg match against Celtic. The place will be go crazy. One thing about Celtic is that their fans are some of the best in the world. And while they will be urging their team on I know those fans will also appreciate the chance to watch the likes of Kaka and Ronaldo in action as well. AC Milan will really have to be on their toes ? a little lapse in concentration and they could find themselves 1-0 down before they know it ? just ask Manchester United!

There are some really great match-ups in next week?s Champions League action. Another match which is mouth watering is Liverpool going to Barcelona on Wednesday. Two great teams battling it out ? you cannot ask for more.

I know that Barca this week had some trouble in their camp but it seems to have been sorted out.

Samuel Eto?o came out and said some rather bad things about his coach Frank Rijkaard this week after the striker refused to go on as a sub in the last minutes of Barca?s match last weekend against Racing Santander. Eto?o was wrong. If the coach wants you to go on for only a few minutes then you go on ? especially since you have been out injured for so long. The coach probably doesn?t want you out there long in case you are not quite ready.

Eto?o also said some things about Ronaldinho but apparently they have all made up. I hope so because Barca are a great team. After all they are the defending champions of the tournament.

Another interesting match will be when Jose Mourinho takes Chelsea to his home in Porto. I know the fans at Porto love him ? just look what he did for them before moving to Chelsea. While Chelsea are the favourites for this match, don?t be surprised if Porto get something out of the game ? they are tough at home and Mourinho knows that.

Another classic match-up is Bayern Munich travelling to Real Madrid. Both teams are not hitting on all cylinders this season but I have to say my money would be on Bayern coming out on top after both legs. I just think they are more organised and stronger right now and there seems to be some dissent in the Real camp.

Manchester United travel to Lille who knocked them out last year but this is a different United. They are far stronger in all facets of the game and they have so much confidence right now.

Well Arsenal certainly made hard work of it missing two penalties in their match on Wednesday evening against Bolton who have had their number for a while now. In the end Arsenal won 3-1 after extra time and they did deserve it. One player who has really been impressing me this year for Arsenal is Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor who scored two of the goals for the Gunners against Bolton. He is developing into a really top class striker. The play by Arsenal has been absolutely beautiful this season and I do love the way Tomas Rosicky is fitting into the team now. He is always so busy and that is just what teams in England are looking for. I always liked the Czech when he played in Germany ? he is always around the ball and involved.

Arsenal now take on Blackburn on Saturday and while some may say they could be tired from Wednesday?s game, I feel that if you are as young as the Arsenal players are, you never feel tired! You want to play all of the time and I would have to bank on Arsenal going through to the next round.

Another good match will be Reading travelling to Manchester United. Reading have had a great year so far ? they are what I would call ?doing a Wigan? this year. I think you will be able to really judge Reading by how they do next year and see if they can keep it up. Reading do not have the superstars like some teams but what they do have is a fantastic work rate and spirit in the team and credit Steve Coppell for that.

Last week they beat Aston Villa 2-0 in the league with two goals from Steve Sidwell. The second one was excellent when he played a one-two with Dave Kitson and sent in a cool finish.

It is amazing how many players ? especially in the top flight ? cannot play those one-twos properly. So many times I have seen them not control the ball properly or whatever. Sidwell showed how it should be done and he is definitely coming along in leaps and bounds this season.

Another league match last weekend which many saw, and have talked about, was Arsenal?s 2-1 win over Wigan. Although Arsenal definitely had the better play, I understand why Wigan feel unhappy they didn?t get something out of the match. They had their chances but failed to put them away.

The US team will play in the Copa America this year for the first time since 1995. And that can only be a good thing for the US national team. They will be in a very, very tough group which will include Argentina, Colombia and Paraguay. Anytime you can play against teams like that and then ? depending how things go ? play against the likes of Brazil, Chile and Mexico can only help you improve.

The US side play more like a European team and it will be good for them to go up against the likes of Argentina. It will show them where they stand in the world.
