A total of four new coronavirus cases were reported tonight.

The infections were among 946 test results that came back to health officials today – a positivity rate of 0.4 per cent.

There were three cases classed as on-island transmissions with known contacts.

The fourth case, a resident with no identified link to other cases and no recent travel history, is under investigation.

Kim Wilson, the Minister of Health, said that the “close to home” mobile vaccination clinic will be at the Victor Scott Primary School in Pembroke between 10am and 2pm on Sunday.

Ms Wilson added: “There will be healthcare professionals on site to answer any questions that people may have.”

A minibus service will be available to take people to and from the mobile site.

People should call 533-5903 between 10am and 1.30pm to request the service.

The vaccination team plan to carry out home visits in the east of the island from St David’s to Devonshire tomorrow.

Anyone who needs a home visit for the vaccine should contact the special hotline on 444-2498 and select option 2 or e-mail vaccine@gov.bm.

Officials said there were 184 active infections and there had been 16 recoveries since the last update.

A total of 177 active infections are being monitored by public health officials.

There are seven people in hospital, two of them in intensive care.

Bermuda has recorded 2,466 cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic hit last March.

A total of 32 people have died and 2,250 have recovered.

There have been 1,990 cases classed as on-island transmissions with 1,579 ruled to be on-island transmissions with a known contact.

There are 411 cases found to be on-island transmissions with an unknown contact.

A total of 178 cases are under investigation and 298 cases came in from overseas.

The seven-day average of the real-time reproduction number is 0.63.

Bermuda’s World Health Organisation country status remained at “community transmission”.
