FMG to return to Front Street offices
Freisenbruch-Meyer Group will return home next week after six weeks of renovation work at their fire-damaged Front Street offices.
The insurance company temporarily relocated to the Chubb building in Woodbourne Avenue after its offices were damaged by a blaze which gutted the neighbouring property that was home to Onion Jack’s and a number of other businesses.
The operation at Chubb will close at 5pm on Friday and FMG will reopen the doors of its principal office at 75 Front Street on Tuesday at 9am.
William Madeiros, FMG’s executive vice-president, said: “It brings us great pride to say that we’re returning to our original home on Front Street.
“It has taken much time, energy and resources to get our Client Reception Hall on the lower level back to its original state, but we are pleased with the results. Construction work will continue quietly on the third floor over the next few weeks, but that shouldn’t impact any dealings with our clients.”
Mr Madeiros extended his thanks to the company’s partners at Chubb for their ongoing support.
“Thanks to the warm hospitality we’ve received from Chubb, we were able to continue to assist our clients and provide them with the excellent service they expect,” Mr Madeiros said. “We also want to thank Applied Computer Technologies for swiftly responding to our needs after last month’s fire.
“Last, but certainly not least, we want to extend our gratitude to our valued clients. They have been supportive and patient with us during this time and we look forward to assisting them back in a familiar setting soon.”
FMG will be closed next Monday for the Labour Day holiday.
