Shares of Argus Group Holdings Ltd slid 8 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

The insurer fell 18 cents to close on $2.06 as 19,200 shares changed hands.

Argus was the only stock to trade on the BSX. The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 3.6 points, or 0.2 per cent, to close on 1,778.4.

The BSX Insurance Index surged 54.47 points, or 3.82 per cent, to close on 1,479.76.

The US-listed shares of Butterfield Bank gained 79 cents, or 3.17 per cent, to close on $25.72 on the New York Stock Exchange. Butterfield last traded at $24.30 on the BSX.

Meanwhile, One Communications Ltd repurchased 101,800 of its common shares last month, at an average price of $3.90, for immediate cancellation.
