Bermuda has a new radio programme.

'Heart of the Matter' was created by Aderonke Bademosi Wilson.

Its host is Ron Lightbourne.

"We've interviewed older people and younger people and when I talk about younger people, I'm talking about teenagers [about] their hopes, dreams and desires for Bermuda," Mrs. Bademosi Wilson explained. "How they have seen their influence on others is incredible."

Mrs. Bademosi Wilson has a communications degree which encompasses broadcast radio, and television production and direction.

"So I knew I could produce a show and my brothers own a recording studio [The Feel of Music].

"So I knew I had all the ingredients, so it was not a case of how we should do it, but when."

Once Mr. Lightbourne expressed an interest in being the host, the show was on its way.

"I find it nourishing in a spiritual kind of way to deal with the human spirit and to look at what is of value," he said.

'Heart of the Matter' airs on FM89 on Mondays at 4.30 p.m.
