Other flare-ups were reported across the Island, with Police called to trouble spots in Pembroke, Warwick, St. George's and Sandys.

At least five Police vehicles were damaged during Tuesday night, one extensively.

A taxi driver came under fire on Fenton's Drive, Pembroke and one person was arrested after rocks were also thrown from the Roof of The Royal Gazette building on Par La Ville Road.

A women said she was attacked by youths on Barrack Street, St. George's and a bush fire was reported in the Curving Avenue and Rambling Lane area of Pembroke.

And at one of the worst trouble spots, youths overturned at least three trashcans on Parsons Road.

A Police spokesman expressed disappointment at the number of incidents, despite appeals for a quiet and safe celebration.

"Certainly there were more incidents this year than in recent years.

Fortunately there were no serious injuries reported. Incidents involving property and vehicle damage comprised the greater number of calls.'' Other incidents were reported at Bay Lane, Royal Naval Field, Sandys, St.

Johns Road, Pembroke, Cheriton Lane, St. Augustine's Hill, Pembroke, Deepdale and Store Lane, Devonshire, Dub City in Hamilton Parish, South Road, Southampton and Downing Lane, Warwick.
