A submarine surfaced just off Bermuda last weekend to conduct a personnel transfer.
The vessel, whose name and country of origin was unknown to Harbour Radio personnel, came up for just a few minutes on Saturday at Five Fathom Hole, off the Island's east end.
In other shipping a news, the oil tanker Coral Acropura left the St. George's Oil Docks today, after arriving there on Saturday and discharging her payload.
Another oil tanker, the Psara is due to take her place at the Oil Docks when she sails in from Venuzuela today.
The 600-foot vessel will stay there until tomorrow.
Among the Island's regular visitors, the container ship Oleander arrived on Sunday, carrying 193 containers, including 41 that were refrigerated.
Her loose cargo included five trailers and 20 cars and she sailed back to Port Elizabeth, New Jersey yesterday morning.
The Somer's Isles arrived on Monday after sailing from Florida.
After dropping of 97 containers, five of which were refrigerated, she began her voyage back yesterday afternoon.
Loose cargo on board the Somer's Isles included three pleasure boats and 58 bundles of building materials.
She will make one more voyage back to Bermuda before the year's end, arriving next Tuesday.
The container ship Bermuda Islander is due in from Salem, New Jersey tomorrow, bringing with her 131 containers, 21 of which were refrigerated.
Also in her holds will be one 40-foot container, two boats, a MAC truck and a flagpole.
She departs the Island on Friday morning.
