Bermuda thanked for vaccine donation to Trinidad and Tobago
The Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago has thanked Bermuda for its donation of 9,000 Covid-19 vaccines, delivered to the Caribbean nation by private jet this week.
Keith Rowley voiced his gratitude to the Government and the people of Bermuda for the donation of the AstraZeneca vaccine in a letter to David Burt, the Premier.
Dr Rowley said: “Your act of generosity was most timely as Trinidad and Tobago, along with so many other countries, continues to endure against the challenges created by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This act emphasises the strength of our relationship within the Caribbean and epitomises Caribbean integration and solidarity.
“Together, let us continue to advocate for vaccine equity and equality. Trinidad and Tobago remains in your debt for this humanitarian act.”
