Covid-19: no new cases
There were no new cases in the latest round of coronavirus test results, it was revealed tonight.
Health officials said 1,284 test results had come back since the since the last update yesterday and all were clear.
The number of active cases fell to 31 after five people recovered from the disease. That is the lowest number of active cases since March 16. There has been just one new case in the last four days.
A total of 29 people are being monitored by public health officials, two are in hospital, with one in intensive care.
Bermuda has recorded 2,491 confirmed cases of Covid-19, with 2,428 people having recovered since March last year.
There have been 32 deaths linked to Covid-19.
Kim Wilson, the health minister, said that a mobile vaccination unit would be at the National Sports Centre on Saturday from 10am until 2pm.
Ms Wilson added: “As well on Saturday, vaccine certificates will be provided to those who do not have internet access.
“Also, 300 free meals will be given away from the caterer Kenny’s Kitchen thanks to the generous donation of Red Laser Ltd.
“There will also be other participants, such as the Frontline Foundation and Auto Solutions, that will be joining Bermuda’s objective for community protection and will be giving out gift cards and vouchers to persons that get vaccinated.”
A free minibus service is available to take people to the mobile vaccination sites and back home afterwards.
