The victim told officers she was walking along Bermuda's busiest street alone during the early hours on Saturday when she was approached by a man she did not know.

She said she was just passing the Making Waves store when the man made some comments to her before indecently touching her.

The teenager said she slapped the man before walking away.

She then confided in a friend what had happened, who then confronted the alleged attacker.

Police were then called.

Detectives later arrested a 23-year-old Southampton man and took him to Hamilton Police station for questioning. The investigation continues.
