It is alleged that a row broke out between two gardeners working in Bostock Hill, Paget on Friday morning and that the 29-year-old Devonshire man attacked a 30-year-old Pembroke man with the power-driven cutter.

The alleged victim was taken to the King Edward Hospital where 22 stitches were put in a face wound. It is understood he was released after treatment.

A Police spokesman said last night the alleged attacker would appear in court "in due course.'' Neither man has been named.
