CableVision employees give $1,000 to Hands of Love

Two charities aiming to help to provide food for families are receiving help from the employees of Bermuda CableVision.

Employees collected $1,000 worth of non-perishable food for Hands of Love, while CableVision also made corporate donations to charity West End, East End, Central Community.

This is the fourth Christmas that CableVision has donated to the Hands of Love, a tradition that began after the organisation's administrator, Fern Wade, was recognised with a CableVision service award for her work supporting the community.

Ms Wade said: "In a year where we have seen a shortfall of donations, we're very grateful for CableVision's continued support, and we hope others will follow their example.

"It's not too late to help us ensure that needy families receive gifts this holiday season."

Meanwhile, donations from CableVision will also go towards the West End, East End, Central Community, which this year hopes to provide food hampers for 1,000 families. Last year, the organisation helped feed 800 families during the holidays.

CableVision's Sales Manager Rollin Nathan said the company was proud to help both organisations.

"Both of these organisations have been helping the less fortunate in the community for so many years. We're all inspired by their actions."

l Food and clothing donations can be made to Hands of Love at the organisation's Camp Hill Mission located on Camp Hill Road, Warwick.

Non-perishable food items can be donated to West End, East End, Central Community at Arnold's Maxi Mart, The Supermart, White's and Lindo's.
