Swing into 2014 New Orleans’ style with the Fairmont Hamilton Princess’ New Year’s Eve Jazz package on Tuesday, December 31st. From 7pm, the New Year’s Eve Jazz party will include live music from the Tony Bari Jazz Band and soloist Sheila Smith, a dinner buffet, cash bar, party favours, and a sparkling toast and balloon drop at midnight. Red Steakhouse and Bar invite you to join them in ringing in the New Year with elegance on Tuesday, December 31st. Their NYE celebrations will begin at 7pm and will include a decadent three course meal and amuse-bouche, while DJ Ole will be creating the mood with the newest tracks and mixes until 2am. Midnight will be celebrated with champagne and a balloon drop from their vintage New Orleans ceiling fans. By popular demand, the Caledonian Society of Bermuda’s famous Hogmanay Ball will return for the first time since 2010 and will be held at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Tuesday, December 31st. The event kicks off with a cocktail reception (cash bar) from 7.30pm with a rendition of ‘Auld Lang Syne’ at 8pm, midnight in Scotland. Attendees will then be seated for a delicious Scottish-themed dinner with wine included. You can also expect party favours, a raffle, champagne at midnight and DJ King Arthur keeping you on the dancefloor until 3am. Dress code is black tie and tickets are $155 each, $90 for under-18s, including grats. Proceeds go towards various community charities. Alternatively, you can welcome 2014 in the East End as the Corporation of St George Activities Committee presents New Year’s Eve in St George’s on Tuesday, December 31st. From 9pm until 1am in King’s Square, you can enjoy fireworks, live entertainment, music, food and much more. This event is free and open to the public.

Voodoo Wahoo are welcoming 2014 in carnival style at their Rockin’ Mardi Gras New Year’s Eve Party at Hog Penny on Tuesday, December 31st. As you can probably tell by the title, this is a Mardi Gras theme night, complete with authentic decorations, complimentary beads and French Quarter masks for all late seating dinner patrons. This will be from 10.30pm until 1.30am, dress code is smart casual and it is open to the public with no cover charge.
