Police pair promoted to Inspector

Police officers Steve Nurse and Paul Simons have been elevated to the rank of Inspector, Police Commissioner Michael DeSilva has announced.
Both men will serve as Duty Inspectors.
Insp Nurse, with nearly 30 years’ police experience in Bermuda, has been involved in operational policing, as a parish constable and in the Special Branch.
Married with three children and a grandchild, Insp Nurse is also an umpire for the Bermuda Hockey Federation, and plays field hockey for Police Polecats.
Insp Simons, who joined the force in 1996, has worked in operational policing, the police support unit, roads policing and the Western Community Action team. He has three sons and sits on the board of the Bermuda National Athletic Association.
