A 41-year-old man has appeared in court charged with growing and possessing cannabis.

Jevon Bean this morning pleaded not guilty to cultivating the drug in Devonshire on October 2, 2013.

He also denied possessing cannabis on the same date.

Mr Bean was released on bail and will stand trial on December 15.
