Due to the transporting of some large portable offices, motorists travelling in the western parishes and central area are being advised to avoid South Road and use Middle Road as an alternative.The mobile offices are being moved from King Edward VII Memorial Hospital to Morgan's Point. Tractor trailers are being used to transport the offices.A police spokesman said significant traffic delays have been reported along sections of South Road and disruption to traffic is likely to continue this evening.He added: "Therefore it is recommended that road users traveling to the western parishes from the central area use Middle Road instead. In addition, the motoring public is encouraged to exercise extra caution if they encounter the portable offices in transit."
