Banks stocks were the only ones to trade on the Bermuda Stock Exchange today.

Butterfield Bank remained unchanged on $1.99 on the trading of 44,302 shares. The banks eight percent preference shares were also unchanged on $1,163, as 32 shares changed hands.

Among listed international companies, HSBC Holdings plc climbed 15 cents, or 1.4 percent, to $10.70, as 7,000 shares traded.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged on 1,390.96. Volume topped 51,000 shares and turnover exceeded $200,000.

The BSX Insurance Index dropped 6.28 points, or 0.4 percent, to close on 1,474.4.
