Somers boosts BSX

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index inched a little closer to the 1,400 mark last week, helped by increases in the share price of Somers Ltd and Argus Group Holdings Ltd.
Somers, the financial services holding company which owns Bermuda Commercial Bank, gained 75 cents, or 5.5 percent, to close on $14.50 as 800 shares traded.
Insurer Argus gained one cent, or 0.3 percent, to close the week on $4.01, as 3,836 of its shares traded.
Ascendant Group Ltd stayed unchanged on $6.15 as 9,200 shares changed hands. KeyTech Ltd was the only stock to fall last week, sliding 15 cents, or 3.4 percent, to close on Friday at $4.25.
More than 142,000 shares traded during last week, as turnover totalled more than $361,000.
