Age Concern will start a virtual education programme next week covering legal, financial and computer literacy, the charity said yesterday.

A statement said the 11 sessions “cover many of the main issues people face as they age”, including how to start your own business.

The list of sessions, which all start at 5.30pm, and their dates are:

Legal Literacy: Wills and estate planning: June 7; Understanding trusts: June 21; and Power of Attorney: July 5.

Financial Literacy: Financial Literacy Part 1 June 29; Part 2 on July 1

Computer Literacy: Foundations and fundamentals of computers: June 9; Computer types, operating systems and applications: June 16; Internet, the web, networks and browsers: June 23; E-mail and social networking: June 30; How to properly use Zoom July 7; and computer troubleshooting: July 14.

Entrepreneurship: Steps to Successfully Start a Business: July 20.

Education sessions on legal literacy, financial literacy and entrepreneurship are $35 per person for non-members and free for members. Computer literacy sessions are $55 per person for non-members and $45 for members. All education sessions will be held remotely over Zoom.
