A flipped car lying in a field off South Road, Devonshire was crashed in the early hours of this morning by a 33-year-old Devonshire man who lost control of the vehicle.

According to police, the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired, but passed an alcohol test and was subsequently released after being issued with a moving violation ticket.

The single vehicle collision destroyed a section of limestone wall near the junction with Vickers Bay Road, leaving the vehicle and scattered debris in a field below.

The accident drew onlookers this morning but caused no obstruction to traffic. No injuries were reported.
