Memorial service for music legend

Bermuda Musicians Hall of Fame members Graham and Moira Bean, who dominated the local music scene in the early 1960s. A memorial service will be held for Mr Bean, who died in Florida this week.

A memorial service is being planned for Graham Howard Bean, the veteran Bermudian musician and entertainer who died this week at age 81 in Bayfront Medical Centre, St. Petersburg, Florida.Graham and his wife Moira along with brother Kenneth and wife Kathie dominated the local entertainment circuit in the 1960s, entertaining as The Four Bees. We’ve been given to understand that his body will be cremated in Florida and plans are for the ashes to return to Bermuda for burial at sea. Graham and Moira returned home last year for a whirlwind round of social events that included his induction into Bermuda’s Music Hall of Fame.The couple were pictured above seated with fellow Hall of Famer Brian Butterfield on the left.
