The bright side of Bermuda
a TV show that will be aired to millions of American homes.
A film crew has just completed filming a 30-minute show for the cable show Travel Channel.
And the `Exotic Islands' programme on Bermuda will go out across North and South America later this year -- showing a variety of different activities available across the Island.
Last week, a four-strong team, including host Karin Hunter Reno -- niece of US Attorney General Janet Reno -- has been discovering what Bermuda has to offer.
Hunter Reno tried her hand at diving, kayaking, scooter riding, learnt about the Gombey dancers, visited the Crystal Caves, soaked up the sun at various beaches and went to a cricket match at Southampton.
Producer Margaret Ann Behrends said the show was the 56th in a series which has already included Hawaii, Greece, Cyprus and the Philippines.
"Each island is very unique with all kinds of character,'' she said. "We are doing something about the Bermuda arts community, and the wreck diving was good, as it is known for its wrecks.
"It is a travel adventure show -- it gives the history and culture and lets people know the kind of things they can do.'' Filming also took place with Johnny Barnes at the Crow Lane roundabout and went as far as the Bermuda Perfumery and glassworks at Dockyard.
Hunter Reno is a former supermodel and TV host, and takes part in all the activities.
