A popular Spanish Point beauty spot got an extensive cleanup this week to mark World Oceans Day.
A team of 34 staff from DHL Express Bermuda took out a haul of more than 350lbs of debris from Admiralty House Park and Clarence Cove in Pembroke.
The team split into land and sea crews, a company spokeswoman said – bringing out everything from bottles and discarded lobster traps to car batteries and abandoned motorcycles.
The cleanup was organised by DHL with Weldon Wade, the founder of the marine protection group Guardians of the Reef, as well as the Bermuda Ocean Prosperity Programme.
DHL donated staff time to the community as part of its GoGreen environmental protection programme.
