College seeking new vice president
And the college is looking for a qualified person to fill the post of vice president of academic and student affairs, which has been occupied by Salonge Saltus for the past four years.
Mrs. Saltus, who has been with Bermuda College for almost 20 years, is the second-ranking official of the college and acts for the president in his absence.
The person who will take her place will be required to provide leadership in the planning, organising and directing of all phases of academic, student and related matters in the faculties of Arts and Science, Hotel and Business Administration, and Continuing and Applied Studies.
He or she will also be responsible for all matters relating to the activities of the college library and the Officer of Admissions, Records and Institutional Research.
In addition to those responsibilities, the successful applicant will also be required to serve on the college's senior management teams and be a member of several internal and external committees.
He or she will also have to provide direct supervision to deans, the college librarian, registrar, and the Student Services director.
